Play Centre Rental Rules and Regulations

All party renters and their guests must comply with all of the following policies and procedures of Port McNeill Kids in Motion (the Society). Please note that you will be asked to sign a copy of the Rules and Regulations when you arrive at the Play Centre.

  1. Payment. Any rental of the space for a private party must pay in full the day of the rental.  However, if another party requests the same date, the party who scheduled the rental first will be offered the opportunity to pay 50% of the rental fee to hold the date.

  2. Cancellations. A full refund of the 50% deposit will be issued on cancellations made prior to the party date.

  3. Rules. A maximum of 48 people are to be allowed to attend. All attendees, including adults, MUST follow the rules posted in the Play Centre at all times. Please give advance warning to all party guests that the Play Centre is a sock-only space and socks MUST be worn at all times.

  4. Food. All food and drinks must stay at the tables and may not be consumed or taken onto any of the carpeted areas.

  5. Cleaning. Cleaning is the responsibility of the renter. Cleaning supplies are located in the bathroom and under the change table (key is located in the black box under or at the desk). Daily cleaning duties include: wiping the tables and chairs, wiping all of the equipment surfaces, sweeping the floor, vacuuming the carpet, cleaning the bathroom, and emptying the garbage (the key for the garbage dumpster beside the Bargain Shop is located in the black box under or at the desk). The Play Centre is to be left in the condition it was rented.

  6. Damage. Any excessive damage done to the Play Centre property shall be billed to the renter for either replacement or repair.

  7. Personal Property. Port McNeill Kids in Motion is not responsible for personal belongings. It is the sole responsibility of each person entering the facility to be responsible for all belongings. Under no circumstances will the Society take responsibility for any lost, missing or stolen property personal or otherwise.

  8. Safety. Parents of children who are invited guests are completely responsible for the well-being and behaviour of their children while at the Play Centre. All children present must be signed in by their parent/guardian to ensure that parents/guardians understand and agree to the rules of use.

  9. Set up/clean up.  Renters will be allowed in the Centre 15 minutes before the scheduled booking and expected to vacate 30 minutes after.
